Recently, District 204 held Parent University: Navigating Peer Relationships and Conflict, to provide resources on supporting your child as they navigate developing and maintaining positive peer relationships. The presentation included practical strategies for parents to support their child with self-advocacy skills, problem solving, and how to effectively resolve peer conflicts. The discussion was moderated by District 204 SEL and Wellness Coordinator, Dawn Forkner. Speakers for the session were Lisa Liace - School Psychologist, Hill Middle School— Claudia Morales - School Social Worker, Granger Middle School— and Alison Genslinger - School Counselor, Scullen Middle School.
