Dear District 204 Community,
I recently had the honor of representing our district at the White House for the U.S. Department of Education's launch of its Future Ready Leaders project. District 204 is one of eight districts featured in a series of videos produced by the U.S. Department of Education. The videos serve as a resource for district leaders throughout the country to effectively lead the transition to digital learning.
Last spring, a film crew visited our district to capture stories highlighting policies and practices aligned with four areas critical for an effective transition to digital learning: collaborative leadership, personalized student learning, robust infrastructure, and personalized professional learning. The U.S. Department of Education designed these videos to serve as a virtual site visit hosted by some of the most forward leaning Future Ready districts in the country.
As District 204's superintendent, I'm so proud of the work that happens every day to support our students. It was wonderful to see that work featured in a video shown at the White House to education leaders from across the country.
You can watch all 50 videos for Future Ready Leaders online, or see the five videos that feature our district at the links below.
Expanding Learning Opportunities
Personalized and Blended Learning
Development of Parental Buy-In Toward Digital Transformation

Collaborative Leadership: Qualities and Attributes
