Students recently had the opportunity to make a difference in their community. Nearly 200 Metea Valley High School students and staff members participated in the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service. Taking place each third Monday in January, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service is the only federal holiday observed as a national day of service – a "day on, not a day off." The event encourages individuals to give back by volunteering to help others in need.
