"We are more the same than we think."— Madeline Morales, teacher
For the past four years, one elementary school has celebrated the cultural diversity of its families by bringing everyone together for one special evening. The school's annual Multicultural Night gives families a chance to share food, music, dance and information. Attendees receive a passport and are encouraged to "travel the world" during the event. This year, more than 20 booths highlighted information and artifacts from different countries. Organizers created the event to provide the opportunity for students to discover commonalities and foster respect and understanding of one another.
