Dear Indian Prairie Community,
On behalf of the Board of Education, thank you to all the community members who provided feedback during our superintendent search process. Representatives from our search firm met with 174 stakeholders to hear the qualities they want in our next superintendent. Additionally, approximately 1,200 people provided feedback online.
Stakeholders shared they want our next superintendent to be an individual who has the following qualities: a strong commitment to a “student first” philosophy in all decisions| excellent people skills| the ability to listen to input, but be decisive| demonstrates leadership skills to work with people from all socioeconomic, ethnic and cultural backgrounds| has experience that will benefit the long-term financial health of the district| and will actively engage with all stakeholders throughout the community.
The search firm is now in the process of collecting application materials from interested candidates. We anticipate reviewing candidate profiles in November and meeting with finalists in December. We will continue to provide you with updates as we move forward in the process.
