Message on School Safety

The very sad events that took place in Newtown, Connecticut serve as a valuable reminder on the importance of school safety. The district continuously reviews its safety and crisis plans in conjunction with local law enforcement agencies. Our leadership staff is kept informed of current research and best practices. Safety drills are conducted and reviewed on a regular basis. As a result of the tragedy in Connecticut, administrators will review with staff the responsibilities of each member should a crisis occur. The district has also been in contact with local law enforcement agencies for support as well.

As a reminder, if you think your child is having any difficulty with this news, please don't hesitate to contact your school's principal. Social workers and psychologists are available should your child need to speak with someone.
