New MVHS Administrators Appointed

The board of education approved the appointment of two new administrators for Metea Valley High School. Daniel Debruycker will be the new athletic director and Kimberly Maloney will serve as assistant principal.

Debruycker is currently the athletic director at Oswego East High School. He previously served as assistant athletic director at Crystal Lake South High School. Debruycker is an educator with 14 years experience who began his career as a math teacher and head boys basketball coach in Crystal Lake. He obtained his bachelor's degree from Aurora University and his master's degree from Webster University.

Maloney began her teaching career in 1994 at McAuliffe School in Chicago. She held teaching positions at Glenside Middle School in Glendale Heights and West Chicago High School before being appointed dean of students at Plainfield North High School. In 2008, she came to District 204 as assistant principal of Gregory Middle School. She held that post for four years before heading to Hinsdale South High School, where she currently serves as athletic director. Maloney earned her bachelor's degree from DePaul University and her master's degree from Aurora University.

Both positions begin July 1, 2015.
