A parent information meeting was held on March 15 for parents of second-grade students who are interested in enrolling their child in the John C. Dunham STEM Partnership School. The meeting included an overview of the program, a question-and-answer session in English and Spanish, and a tour of the STEM Partnership School. The presentation was videotaped and will be available at stem.aurora.edu.
The STEM Partnership School on the Aurora University campus serves students in third through eighth grades in the East Aurora, West Aurora, Indian Prairie and Batavia school districts. At this time, there are only openings for students who will be third-graders in the 2016-17 school year.
If more Indian Prairie students apply to the school than there are seats available, a lottery will be held in late April. The lottery will not be open to the public, but will be videotaped and available on 204tv.org. Families will be notified in the first week of May whether they were selected. To apply, a family member must fill out the Parent Survey, located above.
