While District 204 reviews annual water testing conducted by municipalities, there is no requirement to test drinking water in schools. In light of the recent water quality crisis in Flint, MI, District 204 is being proactive and testing the drinking water in all 35 of its buildings. The district has contracted with Environ, an environmental consulting firm, to conduct the tests. Environ will collect water samples once classes end on May 26. It will take approximately 6-8 weeks to receive the results.
