At the May 9, 2016 Board of Education meeting, Terri Russell was approved as the new principal of Brooks Elementary School. Terri will begin her new position July 1.
Terri is currently the principal of Weber Elementary School in Iowa City, Iowa. Prior to that post, she spent her entire career in District 204. She began as a classroom teacher at Georgetown Elementary School in 1987 and later served as principal at Wheatland Elementary School and Peterson Elementary School. She earned her bachelor's degree from University of Iowa and her master's degree from Aurora University.
Assistant Superintendent Laura Devine-Johnston said administrators are excited at the opportunity to have Terri back in the district. "She is a dedicated educator who has served our students and families for many years. She will be a wonderful addition to the Brooks community."
