"It's good for them to start exploring hands-on and exposing them to scientists and people working in the labs."Mario Lucero — Fermilab
This summer, students from Metea Valley High School had the opportunity to use Fermilab as their classroom as part of a pilot program called Metea Accelerators. The partnership program between the high school and a world-renowned research facility was designed to reach students not represented fully in science. Through hands on activities, organizers hoped to give students the opportunity to see that STEM careers can be an option for any student.
